With its hand-cut native stone exterior and very pretty mature grounds full of lots of tropical color, Vieux Caribe was designed to look as if it was built years ago. This imposing 3-story house, located on prestigious Ocean Point, overlooks Taylor Bay Beach, which has lovely, soft white sand. This is also a wonderful beach for children as the water is calm and quite shallow for a good distance out.

Vieux Caribe’s airy interiors are full of antique and unique furniture and objets, which compliment the dramatic ceiling heights. The house has fabulous views from every room and though there is natural cross ventilation with lots of doors and ceiling fans, air conditioning is available should guests wish it. Each of the five large and equal master bedroom suites has a beamed ceiling and French doors opening onto a verandah with spectacular views of the sea and dazzling sunsets. From the third floor verandah, one can also see across Taylor Bay Beach to Chalk Sound, which is a National Park with the most extraordinary intense turquoise colored water. The large, two-story Great Room has French doors that open to a verandah with three steps leading to a big terrace with a pool, cabana and wet bar. A separate outside entrance leads to the lower level and the two optional bedrooms suites. A few feet away from them is a dock with a ladder for easy water access. Taylor Bay Beach is just a few minutes walk or one can also get to it by swimming across a very narrow channel.

5 Bedrooms with Bathrooms En Suite (Sleeps 10)
Sandstone is located on Turtle Cove Beach, which is at the western end of beautiful 12 mile long Grace Bay Beach, one of the prettiest beaches in the Caribbean. This charming West Indian style house sits on two private acres with 280 feet of white sand beach frontage. Built in 1999, Sandstone has just been renovated adding additional bedrooms and baths as well as a new pool with a pavilion. Its location is superb too as one can walk out the door and explore miles of uninterrupted beach. Or relax on the deck listening to waves lapping against the shore while watching spectacular sunsets.

Steps lead up to the main level, which is surrounded by a wide verandah with numerous comfortable seating areas. The airy Great Room and both bedrooms on this floor have cathedral beamed ceilings, doors opening to the verandah and wonderful water views. Near the master bedroom are the large pool, pavilion and sundeck. The beach level consists of three bedrooms with baths and the laundry. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and floors throughout are Italian tile.

Just down the beach is Smith’s Reef, the famous snorkeling trail established by the National Parks System that identifies sea life one sees along the trail. It is also just a 5-minute walk to Turtle Cove Marina, which has shopping, fishing charters, dive boats and six restaurants.

This new 4,000 sq. ft 5 bedroom house sits right on Turtle Cove Beach, the western end of world famous Grace Bay Beach with its twelve miles of lovely soft white sand. Built on two floors and designed to maximize privacy, Turtle Beach offers fantastic views of the beautiful pale turquoise ocean. Its curved construction wraps the upper floor rooms around the deck and from this level, there is virtually a 360-degree view. The pool is here too and because of its raised very private location, it appears to melt into the sea.

At ground level of this well-appointed beach house are 4 of the 5 bedrooms. From here one can access the upper floor via an adjacent staircase or by the spiral staircase through the very fun watchtower. Turtle Beach is well situated and is just steps away from Smith’s Reef, one of the island’s premiere snorkeling areas and national parks. It is also just a 5-minute walk to Turtle Cove Marina, which has shopping, fishing charters, dive boats and six restaurants.

Stonecrest is a beautiful house situated on Ocean Point, an exclusive enclave on the south shore of the island. Though it was built only in 1997, Stonecrest appears to have stood for ages. Its layout is perfect and offers guests the maximum amount of privacy with three floors and numerous indoor and outdoor sitting areas. Every room has a sweeping view of the sparkling waters of gorgeous Taylor Bay and unobstructed sunsets in the evening. There are five equal master bedrooms as well as a very pretty pool and large terrace. At the edge of the water is a dock with a ladder for swimming in the bay. Stonecrest’s design also incorporates numerous amenities with the latest technology to make this a truly gracious and comfortable retreat for the most discerning guests.

The wonderful location provides an ever-changing coastal landscape and captures the entire palette from the intense turquoise of Chalk Sound, a national park one passes on the way to the house, to the pale blue of Taylor Bay, which is ringed almost entirely by a ribbon of sugar white sand. The water here is tranquil and quite shallow for a great distance out, making this a great beach for children. It’s only a few minutes walk or one can also get to it by swimming from the dock across a very narrow channel.

2-5 Bedrooms and 4-7 Bathrooms (Sleeps 4-10)
Bajacu is a fantastic villa on Provo’s south shore with a breathtaking 270-degree view of the Caribbean. This fabulous gated compound sits on a hill and was designed by the world famous Mexican architect Marco Aldaco, whose work is frequently published in Architectural Digest as well as other magazines and art books. Reminiscent of the spectacular villas he created in Careyes, Bajacu is built around a wonderful 33’ high thatched roof palapa, under which is a large open living room. Also reminiscent of this chic Mexican enclave is Aldaco’s use of vibrant color, which becomes even more spectacular as the day progresses.

Bajacu is surrounded by 11 private acres and it has a lush tropical garden full of coconut and royal palms, fruit trees and a myriad of bushes and flowers including bougainvillea, jasmine, and frangipani. Also set in this exotic garden are two dramatic infinity pools that cascade into one another. The small pool is 24’ x 15’ (4’ deep) and the larger, which curves around the spacious sun deck, is 170’ x 24’ (4’ to 8.5’ deep). It culminates at the foot of a very chic pergola linking the palapa to three separate areas: the living room, the formal dining room and the outdoor dining area. Below the pool level a natural stone path leads down to the sea.

The five air-conditioned bedrooms, named after flowers found on the property, are carefully designed to ensure the utmost comfort and privacy and the master bedroom is set apart for even more seclusion. Throughout the villa antiques from China, Indonesia and Africa and unique artwork create a beautifully designed though relaxed atmosphere. Among the pleasures of this great house are the many special areas where one can relax in total privacy. Bajacu, which means “rising sun” in the language of Caribbean natives, offers guests uncompromising luxury, beauty and serenity. Located at the tip of prestigious Ocean Point, this substantial house, with its high ceilings and very attractive décor, was built in the early 90′s and is set amid a lush and colorful landscape. Sunset Point appears to be two houses though it is, in fact, only one. Built in two separate sections, which are connected by wrap around decks, this great house was designed for maximum privacy with the master bedroom suite in one building and the rest of the bedrooms in the other. Numerous covered and open decks offer different seating areas as well.

Its design also incorporates the spectacular surroundings with each room facing the water and opening onto a covered deck. The daytime views of Sapodilla Bay’s beautiful pale turquoise waters are only rivaled by the fantastic Caribbean sunsets later. From the pool area, steps lead down to a dock on the bay for swimming. Nearby is the lovely crescent shaped Taylor Bay Beach with its powdery white sand and shallow water. Sunset Point is a wonderful house for a family or group of friends.
