Chalet Jade is the quintessential ski chalet: surrounded by pine trees, built from giant wooden beams and with large balconies giving views over the mountains and snowfields.  Decorated in contemporary eclectic style, the chalet has a double-height, open-plan lounge with a roaring log fire, home cinema and large, leather sofas.

The dining room and kitchen are ideal for breakfast, uniting with balconies for a buffet lunch or for dinner cooked by one of our private chefs.  Après-ski, staff collect, dry and store all of your clothes, boots and skis ready for your next session.

A massage, afternoon tea or champagne and canapés are there for the asking. Relax in the sauna and Jacuzzi, watch a film or satellite television on the home cinema.

Six guests sleep in three bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Those on the ground floor have a private balcony while the master bedroom is set in a gallery over the lounge.

There is something mystical about Le Plaisir. This superbly restored property rests high above Cluny, a medieval town of Roman origins and site of what was once the largest building in Christendom. Le Plaisir is surrounded by a dense forest above and rolling green pastures dotted with Charolais cattle and sheep below. A paved country lane leading to the house continues up the mountain to the only residence one kilometer beyond. As private as Le Plaisir is, it’s only 5 minutes to town with its markets, restaurants, ancient Abbaye de Cluny, equestrian center and tennis club with an indoor court. It’s about an hour up the old wine road to Beaune and the Cote d’Or; or down to Lyon, gastronomic capital of the world and home to Paul Bocuse’s world famous restaurant. In between are the delicious wines of Maconnais, Pouilly Fuisse and Beaujolais. Also within an hour are many other famous restaurants including Georges Blanc in Vonnas and Lameloise in Chagny.

In the spring and summer Le Plaisir’s stone entrance gates are flanked by masses of iris and other perennials, which lead one to the front door. The gardens are also full of vibrant flowering plants and running along one side of the house is a festoon of wisteria with fragrant lilac bushes below. Everywhere at Le Plaisir are sublime visuals including the breathtaking views over Cluny to the Macconais Mountain range.

Inside this lovely stone house, rooms have beamed ceilings and are sumptuously yet charmingly furnished with great style, and each of the very pretty bedroom suites has a wonderful view. A few steps away from the house is Le Barn, a romantic getaway, which also has incomparable views. Inside this charming pool house and summer kitchen are massive beams and ancient stone floors. Outside are a 15 meter heated lap pool and a hot tub. This idyllic property is the perfect home base for exploring Burgundy’s world-renowned wine country and medieval towns and villages.

Amenities
High-speed Wi-Fi Internet access, stereo/CD player, satellite TV, washer/dryer, central hot water floor heating and an ultra-modern and fully equipped kitchen. Heating for the pool and hot tub is an additional charge. Guests may use the new Peugeot 807 seven passenger mini-van, which has A/C and automatic transmission.

Staff
Full time property manager, Emmanuel Gaillard, “Manu,” speaks English and lives with his wife and two children on the property in a separate cottage, which is hidden from view by the hillside and trees. He’s always available to guests yet is invisible when not needed. Manu looks after maintenance, security, orderliness and cleanliness. “He’s also a great guy and fine chef as well as being wonderfully industrious and helpful.” Guests can make arrangements for shopping and cooking some dinners directly with him. His hours are Monday- Friday 8 to 5 and Saturday 8 to noon. He will also bring croissants and the newspaper in the mornings.

Getting There
Lyon is about an hour and a half, Geneva 2 and Paris 4. The owners fly to Paris and then take the non-stop TGV to Macon (95 minutes). Guests can arrange to rent a car at the station and drive 20 minutes to Le Plaisir.

The Château’s interiors of some 850 square meters (to convert to square feet multiply by ten) have been restored to their former 18th Century glory and they are furnished with beautiful European and Oriental antique furniture and art. However, all the Château’s services, including the heating, cooling, telecommunication, electrical and plumbing systems, are 21st century, as are the Kitchens, laundry rooms and all the bathrooms. The Château enjoys three Reception rooms (50 square meters, 30 square meters and 26 square meters), a Library (50 square meters), a large formal Dining room (which seats up to 18 persons – 35 square meters), and an informal large, combined Dining room and Kitchen (70 square meters). The Château’s charming, internal Courtyard with its fountains, its aviaries and its jasmine covered walls can also be used for al fresco dining.

It has three large master bedroom suites, – with one king and two queen sized beds, and with one suite on the ground floor and two on the first floor. Each suite has an ensuite bathroom and a separate shower stall. There are a further six bedrooms (with one king, two queen and two double sized beds and one with twin beds) on the second floor, each of which has its own ensuite bathroom (with showers in each bath) and all of which are tiled with lovely Provençal tiles.

The adjacent Farm building, of some 950 square meters, has been fully modernized and converted into, inter alia, guest bedrooms, guest facilities, the Conference and Business Centre and certain sports facilities. The accommodation consists of:  (1) Masion Rose, which has one bedroom with a king sized bed, and either one suite with one twin-bedded room and a salon with a convertible sofa, or two twin-bedded rooms, or the Tenant prefers;  (2) Maison Jaune, which has one king, one queen and one twin-bedded room; and – a separate Courtyard level bedroom, with a king sized bed.

All these seven bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, with baths and separate shower stalls.  All the seven guest bedrooms overlook a beautiful internal Courtyard with its cloisters, various seating areas, lawn, lemon trees, jasmine clad walls and a fountain. There is a ground floor Dining room, which can also be used as a Card/Games room, off the Courtyard, which is serviced by its own professional kitchen.

In the balance of the Farm building, there is: a “Conference Room” with both seating for 20 people and “multi-media” facilities and its own reception room; the Salon Provençal; an adjacent, fully equipped “Business Centre” and the Estate Office.

Finally, there is the Owners’ private apartment (the “Studio”), in the rear of the Farm, which has its own independent entrance to the East of the Estate.   Map

Welcome to Villa Cocoa, a high standing house on enclosed land, located in the “Residential Park of Pampelonne” – Bay of St. Tropez.  Villa Cocoa is located 300 meters from the sea (Club 55 and others beaches of Pampelonne), 3 km away from the center of St-Tropez, 5 km away from the center of Ramatuelle, 1 hour from Nice International Airport by car or 20 minutes by helicopter and 10 minutes away from golf course (8 km), polo and tennis.

Our 5 bedroom (4 King-beds and 1 Queen bed) Villa includes a panoramic sofa for 10, Plasma TVs, Cable with HI-FI Boise System, DVD, Magnetoscope VCR, a computer with Wi-Fi internet access, fax machine, fire place, lunch and dinner area, kitchen equipped with grill, double oven and wine cave, two huge terraces (one with cocktail area, Barbecue, Pizza Oven and the other covered with a laundry room with washing machine and dryer), patio, lagoon swimming pool with cascade and hot tub (protected with alarm).
