Tucked in its own private enclave behind an electronic gate, Isla Vista has sweeping sea views from its breezy hillside location. Lushly landscaped grounds surround this two-bedroom house, which is bordered by the gorgeous Virgin Islands National Park. The property offers wonderful seclusion yet it’s just a few minutes’ drive into Cruz Bay, Caneel Bay Hotel’s beaches and Hawksnest Beach. A few minutes farther are all the truly beautiful north shore National Park beaches. Isla Vista features a spacious two-level floor plan with beautiful custom interiors, expanded by dramatic island views stretching to the horizon.

Isla Vista’s breezy and secluded Caneel Hill location and amazing views are impressive, but the interior design and the attention paid to detail puts this house in a class by itself – from cool travertine floors throughout; vaulted cypress ceilings; rich mahogany cabinetry, windows and doors; custom lighting inside and out to the artistic stained glass windows. The motif of grand arches continues all through the house allowing each spacious room to flow into one another. Designer furnishings are absolutely top-notch and good looking.

Outside richly landscaped grounds and stately palms surround a spectacular 35’ heated swimming pool, adjoining Jacuzzi with a waterfall into the pool and a tiled travertine deck for sunbathing. The view from here is like a panoramic postcard of sky and sea, Cruz Bay, the unspoiled National Park and St. Thomas in the distance.

Ground Floor

• Gallery opening into the Great Room with 16’ ceilings, a seating area, mahogany and marble wet bar and a dining area
• Gourmet kitchen on the other side of the entry hallway.  Lots of space for chefs and onlookers, this grand area is beautifully crafted in mahogany cabinetry, granite countertops, a professional gas cooktop, lots of cooking and serving pieces and small appliances, including an ice cream maker, a 24” TV and an office nook. Adjoining the kitchen is a separate open-air covered barbeque room with a stainless steel gas grill.
• TV room with a 58” flat-screen satellite TV and a DVD and CD player. An arched door opens to the pool deck right outside.
• Bedroom with king-size bed, air-conditioning, a 36” TV and bathroom en suite with double sinks and a separate WC. Mahogany French doors open to the pool and sun deck.

Second Floor

• Master bedroom with a mahogany four-poster king-size bed, a 36” flat screen TV, curved balcony set with table and chairs for two that overlooks the pool and the sea (perfect for sunset cocktails), separate air-conditioned fully-equipped home office and large bathroom with a sleek travertine vanity with double sinks, a separate WC and a step-out balcony. Just outside, the private “al fresco” shower pavilion is bordered by serpentine walls that curve around manicured gardens and a private tiled terrace.

• Spacious Great Room with high ceilings, custom hand-carved cypress and comfy furniture, dining area and a great custom kitchen with a chef’s gas cook top, double ovens and fridges, Caphalon cookware and lots of tableware. French doors open out to the upper terrace, which has a dining area and glorious ocean views.
• Air-conditioned media room/library with blond maple paneling, bamboo floor, a 50” HDTV, music, movies, books and a wet bar

• Air-conditioned master suite with a king-size bed, fabulous his-and-hers dressing room/bathroom with a walk-in stone shower and a separate office with a computer (DSL and Wi-Fi) and fax machine. Doors open to a terrace with water views

Lower Level

• Indoor/outdoor living area with a large HDTV, wet bar and mini-fridge. This area opens directly out to a covered terrace bordered by the pool.
• Air-conditioned bedroom with a king-size bed located on one side of the pool terrace. Its adjacent bathroom, which can also be accessed from the pool, has a shower.
• Air-conditioned bedroom with a queen-size bed and bathroom en suite with a shower. It’s located on one side of the pool terrace.
