Castello di Pergolato is a beautiful example of a Medieval Tuscan castle. This extraordinary estate is set high on a hillside in the Chianti wine region just south of Florence on the road to Siena. It was originally built in the 10th century on the ruins of an ancient Roman settlement by the Buondelmonti family, who owned the castle for nine centuries. During the Renaissance (between 1450 and 1500) the inside of this feudal castle was converted into a villa and recently it has been beautifully restored by its current owners. No detail has been overlooked. The castle is filled with fine Italian antiques, gracious, comfortable sofas and chairs, gorgeous canopy beds and all modern conveniences including an elevator.

A huge central reception room divides the castle into two sections, the Conventino and the Torre. This magnificent room also opens on to an arched patio that overlooks the elegant swimming pool and out over the sweeping valley of the Pesa River. In all there are a total of eleven bedrooms (six with bathrooms en suite): two masters, six doubles and three singles. There are also two powder rooms. Castello di Pergolato offers a unique and wonderful experience as well as an ideal location only 15 minutes from Florence.

An impressive private villa, Villa Emeralda offers guests a wonderful location in northern Sardinia, Porto Rotondo, well known as Smeralda coast. Technology and great comfort make this villa very special, apart from the area in which it is situated, immersed in the countryside along with other villas on one of the most exclusive coastlines. There is private access directly from the villa to the beach, 150 metres away. The beaches in Italy are never privately owned but in this case the only people using this beach are guests of Villa Emeralda and other occasional guests of the nearby villas. The well maintained garden, slopes gently towards the swimming pool, which is equipped with a swim against the current system and is heated by solar panels which allow the temperature to rise 4 ° or 5 ° C higher than the environment. An outdoor kitchen area with barbecue, built in granite table and benches is close to the pool. The large open-plan living/dining area is simply, but stylishly decorated with light coloured, modern furnishings and terracotta tiles throughout. In particular, the dining area is very light thanks to a large window which extends nearly the whole wall and allows you to admire the sea from indoors. This room opens onto a large terrace with outdoor sitting and dining area with views towards the sea and garden. The property has sheltered parking for 4 cars and a private gym, a personal trainer can be arranged on request. A car, Kia Carnival, 7 seats with full insurance coverage and unlimited mileage is available and included in the weekly rate.

This beautiful mediterranean-style villa sits in an outstanding position, high on the rocks, and surrounded by “macchia mediterranea”, in northern Sardinia. It is a quiet and tranquil location, yet just 2 kms from Santa Teresa di Gallura with its yacht harbour. From the house and its garden there are breathtaking views of the Corsican “Bocche di Bonifacio”, the impressive white cliffs of Bonifacio, and the small islands just off Corsica. The villa is very well furnished and equipped with all modern comforts. A particular feature of the house is the lovely verandah to the front of the house, with outdoor dining area. The house has several entrances and is planned in such a way to be ideal for people holidaying together, requiring some independence and privacy. The lower ground floor is not of the same standard of the main part. This area is less crowded than the nearby famous Costa Smeralda, and is a good base for exploring the beautiful Sardinian coastline, and also for taking day trips to Corsica. For those looking for smart restaurants and lively nightlife, the Costa Smeralda and its resorts such as Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo are within 30/50 minutes drive. A beautiful boat with skipper is available at extra cost.

Villa Gabriella is situated in the exclusive residential village of Porto Rafael, located in the centre of the Arcipelago della Maddalena National Park, on the northern coast of Sardinia. The villa is surrounded by a 4000 m land rich with lawns and macchia mediterranea. The beach is only 80 m from the villa, on the opposite side of the small road which goes past the villa. The position of Villa Gabriella lets the observer enjoy a breathtaking panorama including the scattered islands belonging to the Arcipelago della Maddalena. This property was designed by a famous architect in pure Mediterranean style. A particular feature is the external cooking and dining area with a barbeque and wood oven that is placed in a circular, partially covered patio where guests can enjoy their lunches and dinners. Alternatively, guests may choose to have their meals on a large round terrace in front of the house with views over the sea. The interiors are functional, and modern comforts have been installed to ensure a relaxing experience. The famous Piccolo Pevero Golf Course with its enchanting views is only half an hour away. The Costa Smeralda, with its smart restaurants and nightlife, is also within 30 minutes drive.

Designed by a famous architect, together with a celebrated landscape gardener who created the grounds, this beautiful villa is situated in Porto Rotondo, at the heart of the Costa Smeralda. Porto Rotondo harbour is within walking distance and the Yacht Club is just 500 metres away. Sandy beaches can be reached without needing to use the car; the privileged residents of Porto Rotondo have at their disposal a convenient bus service to take them directly to the beaches. The villa is entered from the parking area by a path adorned with various flowers and plants and interrupted by a series of large rocks, which creates a unique and eye-catching view. The swimming pool, built on the terrace of the most scenic side of the house, looks out over the bay and boasts a hydro-massage system. The porch, with its picturesque sea view, is especially delightful. It is comfortably furnished and has direct access to the living room. In addition, there is an outdoor kitchen area with barbeque and brick oven, set amongst the well-maintained landscaped gardens that slope gently away from the swimming pool. Due to the numerous steps and the situation of the pool, we do not feel that this house is suitable for children under 4 or anyone with walking difficulties.

Enjoying wonderful views over the village of Pexão and the surrounding countryside, this beautiful, lavish villa has a private swimming pool set within a large terrace. The grounds are completely enclosed and private, with shady parking and lockable gate. Inside, the villa is comfortable and tastefully decorated, with spacious rooms. The modern, well-equipped kitchen has french windows to the covered terrace near to the pool. The magnificent first floor master bedroom, reached by a wide staircase, has an ensuite bathroom and french windows to the balcony. There is another (locked) room on the first floor for the owner’s personal possessions. Please note that due to external steps (without handrail) leading to the front door – care needs to be taken with small children.
